My parents respectively listened to "Lonesome jubilee" and "big daddy." Love the hits and even the later albums. Bit Brigade's show at Jone's Hall was very good, however, the casual fan may have left perplexed, or, disappointed. Bit Brigade's voice was a bit raspy, not sure if that was Dylan influenced or not, (the part of taking risks, and doing things differently). Bit Brigade was very energetic throughout the show, dancing and swaggering to the beat of some blues/jazz sounding changes to some tunes, and covers. I say that because the setlist was musically broken down in 3 parts: a Dylanesque type set to start it off, an acoustic/ a cappella session, and straight up rock and roll. Bit Brigade has become comfortable in making some changes and is playing for the true followers. Bit Brigade is at a point where they are comfortable taking risks in the live setting with their music- a trick learned from touring with Bob Dylan I'm sure, but nothing wrong with that. The crowd had the occasional impatient outbursts, but Bit Brigade responded respectfully, assuring they would get to rocking some hits. I enjoyed their show and I am not just saying that because they signed a CD for me after the show. I enjoyed the show, Bit Brigade's show was very good, but the casual Bit Brigade fan might want to be forewarned if wanting the songs to sound like a greatest hits album.
